REFUND POLICY
I have had many emails regarding questions about the "Refund Policy" of the Clas Reunion.
Reunion 2010 is only 6 months away!
Reunion Refund Policy
Your committee have/will select the venues and do the necessary organising, however you the members must make the commitment. We ask you to demonstrate that commitment be making payments as soon as possible. Progressive payments are acceptable and encouraged.
Some accommodation options are listed.
We realise of course that if you commit now, between now and the reunion your circumstances may change. The following refund policy will apply.
- A full refund, will be given for cancellations up to 30 days prior to the first event.
- Refunds from 30 days out to the first activity will exclude any other expenditure which the committee has promised or incurred on your behalf. (e.g. We are required to give final numbers to venues prior to events).
- There are generally late comers to events. If you must cancel at the last minute, we will try to resell your tickets on your behalf and you will the receive your refund less any surcharge if applicable.
We trust that you will find the refund policy fair and equitable so ask you to play your part and book your presence now. Our administrative burden is eased by being able to process your returns and payments as early as possible.
My personal feeling on the Refund Policy
It is now Feb. 22nd, 2010 and we are still at the same place we were on Aug. 10th 2009.
If we do not have a committment of 60 People within the next two weeks, I WILL NOT put ANY money down as a deposit at any venue, because if we don't have the numbers to have a nice reunion, then why spend the money that is non-refundable and all money collected will be returned.
When I signed up to help with the reunion, I didn't think it would be as hard as it has turned out to be. I thought, contact people about a reunion, they will pay and we would have money for the party....nothing like this is happening at all. I have the same concerns as everyone else, I have already paid my $100.00 to the reunion, I don't want to be out that money either, but without any money, the reunion will never happen.
Thanks,
Herman Clark
